For feeding spinach to your flock, either grow it yourself or buy it fresh from any market or grocery store near you which sells organic spinach or easily available fresh leafy greens that are well known for their nutrient content like kale and chards which can also be fed along with the spinach as they contain similar nutritional content.

Kale and chards: Contains high amounts of vitamin K which helps in clotting blood during nosebleeding and bleeding from uterus during delivery. It also contains vitamin A which boosts immune system, prevents birth defects and boosts growth in newborns. These two vegetables also contain high amounts of beta-carotene, a form of vitamin A that protects against cancer and acts as an antioxidant, scavenging harmful oxygen-derived free radicals. Chards also provide potassium which prevents muscle weakness and cramps during lactation period, protects against kidney stones, regulates heart rate and blood pressure.
